Each Sabina Savage scarf is a collectible, heritage piece — a wearable work of art.
Intricate designs tell an extensively researched and imaginative story. Each illustration is hand-drawn by Sabina—sometimes taking up to six weeks for a single design. The matte, opaque texture of the medium-weight, beautifully soft wool and silk blend fabric gives the prints an antique finish. Hand-finished with a delicate fringe, each piece is instantly recognizable.
From the Divination Celebration collection (Spring 2021). In the aftermath of the west African festival celebrating fortune and prophecy in a dry and drought-stricken year, local wildlife find colorful costumes and a deck of Tarot cards and summon the spirits to change their fortunes. "The giraffe was chosen by her peers to play The Sun, and what a fitting performance it is. Her blanket is worn as an ornate flag, announcing a change to come. Birds flock to her side, bringing gifts and goodwill, seeking serenity and peace. She is light, she is hope, she is truth."
