Our large pewter and ceramic butter dome will hold an entire stick of room-temperature butter, meaning it can act as a butter keeper that’s stylish enough to occupy a place of pride on your kitchen counter, while providing easy access to very spreadable butter for your morning toast and throughout the day. Hand-washing is recommended for this item, but MATCH serveware is dishwasher safe. We recommend that you use liquid dishwasher soap on the lowest heat setting.
Please note: If you have hard water (water with a high mineral content), we do not recommend using a dishwasher, as elements in the water may cause tarnishing or pitting of your pewter.
When washing your serveware by hand, please do not pre-soak in hot water and dry completely, as water allowed to dry on pewter may cause spots.
Any spots that appear can be easily removed by polishing or by gently rubbing the area in small circular motions with very fine "0000" steel wool.
