Alison Evans Ceramics transforms the natural shapes of coastal life into dinnerware, functional art, and tabletop accessories.
This plate is just as happy serving lunch or a salad as it is hanging on the wall as art.
Inspired by the oyster farmers of her home state of Maine, artisan Allison Evans reimagines traditional table service. Her Oyster Series provides a unique divergence from traditionally round dinnerware; her glazes further mimic nature’s movement, grace, and individuality. Made of strong porcelaneous stoneware to withstand daily use, each piece is hand-molded, hand-glazed and entirely unique.

If treated well, Alison Evans' pieces are meant to last for generations to come. Although ceramics are delicate in nature, these are made of porcelaneous stoneware which is purposefully thicker than chinaware to withstand daily use.
Dishwasher, microwave, and food-safe (lead-free)
Oven-safe, but warm plates, platters and bowls with the oven to avoid thermal shock
Due to the nature of the glazes used and the multitude of variables in the ceramic making process, glaze colorings do evolve and change over time. While Alison Evans Ceramics strives for consistency, they also embrace the uniqueness that time and process lends to their products.
